Fortune Pot (from The Fortune Pot – Tales of Land of Death – Igbo Folk Tales by Uche Okeke)

In 1958 alone, Uche Okeke produced over 3000 linear sketches mainly from the museums, domestic objects, trees and other vegetable materials, cosmological bodies and various physical stimuli that attracted him. They included Fortune Hunt which can pass for an abstract as well as a semi-abstract drawing. It possesses a firm texture (pointillism) enclosed in a simple outline.
